Slightly Stressed

You know, I don't remember having to work this hard in my classes when I was in college after I graduated high school.  I am not saying the classes are harder now, I just think I care a bit more about studying and seeing how my classes are virtual, I'm taking a lot of notes out of my book.

Hoping that once I get into the groove of things, everything will run a bit smoother.  Right now I am just a bit stressed and worried about my first exams in each of my classes.

However...I know I can do it!!

hehe....box in a fox.....this makes me giggle!!

Starting Monday!!

Starting Monday, I will be starting my first college classes in over 8 years.  I am finishing up with virtual classes through a college I previously attended.  I was just able to log onto their "Blackboard" this evening to do the tutorials and figure out how to navigate it and do sample quizes online and see what else there was to do.  LOTS of info on how it works....too much info all at once.  Kind of a brain overload.  Really wish they would have a video tutorial over each part but oh well.

I've been helping with summer school at the elementary school I work at.  Love that we are giving some of the kids who struggle a bit in school a two week jump start before school starts.  Such Fun!!!

I know some teachers are already back to school but we don't start until the 29th.  Ready to get back into the classroom!!

20 days and counting

Well...20 days until my college classes start.  A bit worried how the virtual classes will go but I have to make this work.  I have to finish so I can do what I want to do with my life....to teach kids and be a part of their life.  Also to help make a bit more money to help support our family.  *smile*  I am soooo ready!!

a little annoyed

I am trying to go back to school....as I stated.  However, I plan on completing the rest of the courses I need through virtual education.   Let me tell you....I hope the courses go more smoothly then trying to get all my paper work organized and in the right places at the college.  It has been a bit of a mess.
Plus, just now getting all my books ordered after they had technical issues with one of the books I needed.
I keep telling people, "finishing school will be a breeze compared to trying to get enrolled".   lol

Happy Monday to All!!!

Hello!!

I've blogged before, have a quilting/general blog I love but I wanted a blog focused just on teaching.

Let me start by saying a little bit about myself.  I am 36yrs old, a mother of two great kids and a wife to one amazing man (who happens to be a teacher).  I have 3+ years of college under my belt and now I have decided to go back and finish getting my degree in elementary education.  I have worked in one school system or another for the past 13years and in between working in schools with the title 1 department, special ed or as a teachers assistant I have also own and operated my own daycare while each of my kids were young.   I think it is safe to say that I KNOW that I want to be a teacher.  And now that my kids are older, I plan on finishing.

So....this year I have enrolled in college and I am happy to say I am excited to start this fall.
Wish me luck!!
